This policy explains how QibCode handles information in Korean Naturalization Interview Practice and on qibcode.com.
1. App data we process
Korean Naturalization Interview Practice uses online services to protect licensed content, manage the free trial and verify access. Depending on the authentication and purchase flow used in your version of the app, we may process the following:
- Authentication identifier: a Firebase user identifier and related authentication information needed to recognize app access.
- Registered-device information: an app/device registration identifier, a cryptographic public key or key fingerprint, device status and verification timestamps.
- Access and entitlement information: package identifiers and versions, access type, entitlement status, download/verification state and related server timestamps.
- Trial usage: the number of protected-content playback seconds used, remaining trial time and unique usage-report identifiers used to prevent duplicate counting.
- Purchase/entitlement status: when Google Play purchasing is enabled, the app may receive or verify transaction/entitlement information needed to unlock access. QibCode does not receive your full payment-card details.
2. Data stored locally on your device
Practice state is primarily local. This can include selected chapters, question order, Practice Needed / Practice Done / Deleted status, resume position, app preferences, and cached thumbnail/duration metadata. Local data may be removed when you clear app storage or uninstall the app, and it does not currently sync automatically to a new phone.
3. How we use data
We use the information above only to operate the app: authenticate access, register an authorized device, deliver protected packages, enforce the free trial, verify entitlement, support offline full access where available, prevent abuse and provide technical support.
4. Service providers
The app uses Google/Firebase services, including authentication and backend/cloud services, to provide protected access and trial functionality. Google Play may process installation, purchase, device and diagnostic information under Google's own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal data or use app data for third-party advertising.
5. Security
Protected app content is distributed through controlled access and device-specific cryptographic mechanisms. We use access checks and encrypted or protected storage where appropriate. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we design the service to limit unnecessary access to user and licensed-content data.
6. Retention and deletion
Local practice data remains on your device until you reset it, clear app storage or uninstall the app. Server-side authentication, device-registration, entitlement, trial and security records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, protect purchases, prevent abuse, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.
You can request deletion of server-side app data through our data deletion page or by emailing hello@qibcode.com. We may need to verify the request. Some records may be retained where legally required or where necessary to document completed financial transactions or prevent fraud; if so, they will not be used for unrelated purposes.
7. Permissions
The production app should request only permissions required for its features. It is not designed to require your precise location, contacts or microphone for ordinary practice. If a future feature requires additional sensitive permissions, this policy and any in-app disclosure will be updated before that feature is released.
8. This website
qibcode.com is designed as a static website. If hosted on GitHub Pages, GitHub may process standard server information such as IP addresses to operate the hosting service. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which may process request information under Google's privacy policy. The site itself does not use advertising cookies. Your light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your browser.
9. Children
The app is intended for people preparing for adult immigration/naturalization processes and is not directed to children under 13.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the app, service providers or legal requirements change. The date above will be updated when material changes are published.
